PwnClips ("we", "us") is a community-curated feed of user-submitted YouTube gameplay clips. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the third-party services (Google AdSense, YouTube) that may set cookies while you browse.

1. Information we collect

• Submission data — the YouTube URL, clip title, game, your display name, email, and optional description you enter on the Submit page.
• Anti-spam data — a salted hash of your IP address (not the raw IP) is stored briefly to enforce rate limits and prevent duplicate submissions.
• Account data — for admin/moderator accounts, an email and hashed password managed by our authentication provider.
• Automatic data — standard server logs (timestamps, user agent) generated by our hosting provider.

2. How we use it

• To review, approve, or reject submitted clips.
• To contact submitters about their clip when necessary.
• To prevent spam, duplicate posts, and abuse.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site.

Submitter email addresses are visible only to site administrators. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in to admin areas. Third-party services embedded on the site — including YouTube video embeds and Google AdSense advertisements — may set their own cookies.

4. Google AdSense and advertising

PwnClips uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. As part of that service:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

5. YouTube embeds

Clips are embedded from YouTube. Playing an embedded video is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and YouTube's Terms of Service.

6. Data retention and removal

Rejected submissions and their contact details may be deleted at any time. If you'd like your clip or contact information removed from PwnClips, email us at the address below and we'll process the request promptly.

7. Children

PwnClips is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of the page.
